Privacy Policy

LinguaClip is a desktop app that works on your own computer. It has no user accounts and no analytics or tracking.

What stays on your computer

Your videos, subtitles, practice history, saved lines and words, review schedule and settings are stored only on your computer. We never receive them.

What we receive

• License activation. When you activate, validate or deactivate Pro, the app sends your license key, an anonymous identifier for the computer and the computer's name to our license server, which checks it with our payment provider Creem. We keep this only to enforce the 3-computer limit.
• Purchases. Creem, our Merchant of Record, processes your payment and receives your name, email, billing details and payment method under its own privacy policy. We receive your email and order details so we can support you. We never see your card number.
• Email. If you write to us, we keep the conversation to answer you.

Services you choose to use

These features send data directly from your computer to a third party, only when you use them:

• Word lookup: the word and its sentence go to the dictionary you pick (Youdao, Cambridge, Eudic).
• AI features: the lines involved go to the AI provider you configure with your own API key.
• Cloud transcription (off by default): the audio goes to the provider you choose (Groq or Alibaba Cloud).
• One-time downloads of speech-recognition and conversion components come from GitHub, Hugging Face and similar hosts.
• Anki export talks to Anki on your own computer.

This website

This site is served by Cloudflare, which may process your IP address and request logs for security and delivery. We do not use cookies or analytics on this site.

Your rights

You can ask us to access or delete the activation and support data we hold about you by emailing support@linguaclipapp.com. Deleting activation data deactivates your computers.

留在你电脑上的

你的视频、字幕、练习记录、收藏的句子和单词、复习排期和设置，都只存在你的电脑上，我们从不接收。

我们会收到的

• 激活。激活、验证或取消激活 Pro 时，App 会把激活码、一个匿名的电脑标识和电脑名称发到我们的激活服务器，由它向付款服务商 Creem 核对。这些信息只用于执行「最多 3 台电脑」的限制。
• 购买。付款由记录商户 Creem 处理，它按自己的隐私政策接收你的姓名、邮箱、账单信息和付款方式。我们会收到你的邮箱和订单信息，用于售后支持。我们看不到你的卡号。
• 邮件。你给我们写信，我们会保留往来邮件以便回复。

你主动使用的服务

下面这些功能只在你使用时，才从你的电脑直接把数据发给第三方：

• 查词：这个词和它所在的句子发给你选的词典（有道、剑桥、欧路）。
• AI 功能：相关的句子发给你用自己密钥配置的 AI 服务。
• 云端转录（默认关闭）：声音发给你选的服务商（Groq 或阿里云）。
• 语音识别和格式转换组件一次性从 GitHub、Hugging Face 等地址下载。
• Anki 导出只和你本机的 Anki 通信。

本网站

本网站由 Cloudflare 提供服务，出于安全和访问需要，它可能处理你的 IP 地址和访问日志。本网站不使用 Cookie，也没有统计。

你的权利

你可以发邮件到 support@linguaclipapp.com，要求查看或删除我们保存的你的激活和售后数据。删除激活数据会同时取消你所有电脑的激活。
